In her quiet and unassuming way she achieved success. From a small spaza shop in Vuyolwethu she expanded her business to include a popular restaurant and now also offers one reasonably priced, well appointed double bedroom available to those who do not wish to stay over in town.

Lizzy is a perfect hostess; gracious, gentle and nurturing and her establishment is an inspiration to the Steytlerville community.

The media has given her outstanding exposure and Lizzy's Khaya is high on the list of what a tourist must experience in Steytlerville. She is dedicated to serving delicious foods and dispensing the warmth of hospitality. Her specialty is comfort food inspired by traditional cuisine. These include roosterbrood, vetkoek, curry and traditional lamb stew. Her baking is outstanding, providing devilishly delicious cakes, biscuits, koeksisters, malva puddings and melktert.
