All Art Lovers, Artists at any Level of Experience – especially those with little or no art experience who would like to explore and develop their innate creativity in a relaxed, friendly and inspiring environment

Drawing and Sketching – Water Color Based Media Rendering Courses

The Studio began in Port Elizabeth in 2003 and was re created in Steytlerville in 2006

There are two Art in the Karoo experiences to choose from;

• from Friday to Sunday afternoon at pre arranged dates throughout the year 
•  A 3 day drawing and  Art weekends painting experience during the months from April to June and from August to October  each year

Inclued in the abovementioned courses is a serendipity Karoo experience which includes a guided tour in the bush at a game farm with your Nature Field guide. Also included is a picnic to pleasure you with the thrill of sketching in the bush at a glorious spot at Draaikrantz

Individual drawing and painting course also offered - by arrangement

All the Art Courses are under the personal tutorship of Elwyn Harlech- Jones, well known Architect and Artist

Delicious meals and teas are part of every Art occasion.

The Studio Karoo is housed in one of the first buildings established in the town and is situated one street away from the Main through road, at No. 26 High Street on the grounds of the luxurious Steytlerville Villa Guest House. The building which were once stables have been magnificently restored to incorporate a spacious Studio on the upper level – look across the Karoo landscape from the upper Studio deck or patio whilst being creative
